Open patterns

I'm starting to think that I don't like open knitting patterns. There's something comforting in a flat piece of stockinette. Especially in a heavy cotton yarn.

This bag was really working for me, until I got to the open pattern... and now I feel just kind of "meh" about it.

I'm feeling kind of "meh" about a lot of things... but it's easier to pick on the bag.
