I think we finally have all of our camping gear together.. now it's just a question of figuring out how to pack the bear canisters and the car.

Had such a wonderful day yesterday... the drive up... alone... coffee in hand.. music on loud.. driving through the mountains totally alone with my thoughts. I feel it in my gut that I have to move up there. I'm done with suburban Long Island. I crave wilderness. I want trees and forests and rocks and earth.

We'll get up there eventually. I have deemed it so.
